Carpatair is a sister-airline of Moldavian Airlines based in Timisoara, Romania. Started in 1999, aiming to serve a regional market niche, now Carpatair covers six countries, counts twelve aircraft and over 350 employees. Operates with the modern fleet of SAAB-2000 and Fokker-100.

airBaltic

airBaltic operates direct flights out of two ot it's hubs in Riga and Vilnius. Established in 1995, airBaltic carried 1.42 million passengers in 2006 increasing permanently it's fleet and destinations. Starting with September 2007 it began operating several flights a week from Vilnius to Chisinau, offering the good prices and connections to baltic and scandinavian destinations.

Turkish Airlines

Turkish carrier having almost daily flights to Moldova. Flights to Istanbul with Boeing fleet. Preferred for it's high level of service. The connection hub is in Istanbul Ataturk airport. Most of the connections are overnight with the free accommodation.

Meridiana

Meridiana is an italian-based airline which operates direct flights to Moldova from Milan and Verona. It is Italy's third airline operating domestic and European services. Its main base is Olbia - Costa Smeralda Airport, with hubs at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Peretola Airport, Florence and Verona Airport.

S7 Airlines

S7 Airlines was formed in May 1992 as a russian state-run enterprise called Sibir Airlines. Since 2002, Sibir has been Russia's leading domestic carrier. Since March 2006, Sibir Airlines has operated under the registered trade name S7 Airlines. Today S7 is one of the world’s 50 biggest domestic airlines, and the first Russian airline to launch an internet ticket sales. Since autumn 2007 it operates it's own flights from Moscow to Chisinau.

Alitalia - Linee Aeree Italiane S.p.A. (Italian Air Lines) is the flag carrier airline of Italy. Headquartered in Rome, it operates services to 24 domestic and 66 international destinations. Alitalia is the world's 19th largest passenger airline by fleet size. The airline's hub is Leonardo da Vinci Airport, Rome. Although Malpensa International Airport, Milan was one of Alitalia's hubs, it has been downgraded to a focus city with the transition completed by April 2008, leaving Rome as the airline's only hub.

Lufthansa is a founding member of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance.
