Air Moldova and Lufthansa has signed a special prorate agreement

The Air Moldova state company and the Deutsche Lufthansa AG have signed the Bilateral Special Prorate Agreement.

It will allow passengers to take advantage of new more attractive common tariffs for more than 200 destinations of one of the largest world air carriers in 81 countries.

In the state company experts' opinion, the signing of this agreement is especially actual for the market of air passenger transportations of Moldova, as the new special tariffs will include not only the West-European routes, but also long routes in the growing markets of Southern and Northern America, Japan and Asia.

Air Moldova offers convenient connections with flights of Lufthansa on the Chisinau-Frankfurt route, flights, which are made five times a week during the Winter Season - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The new agreement came in force on November 15-th, 2008.

Earlier Air Moldova and Lufthansa concluded the Bilateral Interline Agreement, which allows the sides to sell tickets for flights of each other's company and to use a single electronic ticket.

Air Moldova is the largest air company in the republic, which operates more than half of  the flights outside Moldova. It makes regular flights to 16 cities, such as Moscow, London, Rome, Lisbon, and the Athens. In 2007 the company carried more than 317 thousand passengers.
